How to dye polyester coveralls from white to yellow? - cotton coveralls

I have a solid collection of costumes painter, white, male, need to be painted yellow. I was thinking about dyeing with RIT dye, but the fiber content is 65% polyester and 35% cotton. I wonder if it will work forever? (to be used only once, so no matter if they over time) fade or if you must use a different kind of coloring, so that correct?
